In Sicily, the relationships between tourism and coastal zone are particularly interesting to be investigated also in their intertwinement with rural development. The paper aims at presenting the first results on a territorial research held in Sicily in order to enlighten existing relationships among agriculture, rural development and tourism, in the view of supporting the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). Analysis of statistical data describes significance differences in performance of agriculture and tourism relationships and its potential evolution within Local Labor Systems and the Tourism Local Labor Systems with specific respect to the ICZM policy adopted by public bodies.

Abstract
