Questo volume miscellaneo è a cura di Domenico Priori The paper focuses on different aspects of the relationship between Francis of Appignano and William of ockham. It is ascertained that Ockham used Francis' Improbatio while writing his own refutation of Quia vir reprobus, the Opus Nonaginta Dierum. Since Offler and Miethke, however, scholars are aware of the fact that Ockham, while sharing the basic tenets of criticisms against Pope John XXII, almost always reformulates Francis's arguments, as if he were not completely satisfied with them. The paper suggests that our comprehension of this "limited" agreement in the ecclesiological field could be improved investigating more deeply their dissension concerning the theology of Eucharist. In order to progress beyond Anneliese Maier's and even Paul Bakker's important results in thies field, however, a closer scrutiny of the manuscript tradition of Francis commentary on Book IV of the Sentences is badly needed. The paper shows that - as already remarked by Friedman and Schabel - the manuscript Città del Vaticano, BAV, Vat. lat. 943, bears testimony to a further version of the Commentary, which could provide scholars with useful insights in the evolution of Francis's thought.
