"The project aims to increase the knowledge and sentiment on the EU values and history of  two specific target groups (young people with higher education/digitalized and middle/old age people with low education and digital knowledge) . In particular how the EU becomes before a land of peace and later a land prosperity, wellbeing, cooperation and hopefully a real Union in the next future thanks to its history and values . Moreover, how the EU, the biggest donor in the world, share its experience and values with the transition and development countries in terms of peace, human rights and cooperation. The applicants with online/offline activities and events aim to reach and increase the knowledge and sentiment of the target groups incentivizing them to participate actively at the EU civic and political life. University of Macerata analysed a series (22) of EuroBarometer surveys (1984 - 2013) on What the Europeans know and feel about Development Aid. The analysis financed by EuropeAid under NSA/LA program (2008 – 2013) gives important results: the Europeans are not well informed about why, how and where their money is spent all over the world. However, as usual, some Europeans are more informed than others (i.e. country, education, age and source of information ). According to these information, the applicants developed a strategy to verify whether it's possible to increase Europeans information related to peace, development and the relationship between them and the history, the present and the future of the EU through its values. The main activities are: Focus groups, national and European offline events and online debate, in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria and Italy. However using their networks and internet they would like to reach people from other EU Members State."
