Nella prima fase della ricerca si provvederà alla trascrizione dei singoli elenchi librari, sulla base dei criteri a suo tempo fissati collegialmente e ormai consolidati nell’ambito della 'Ricerca sull'Inchiesta della Congregazione dell'Indice', con carattere diplomatico-interpretativo e fortemente conservativo. Successivamente si procederà alla verifica e all’identificazione delle edizioni a stampa corrispondenti ai titoli contenuti negli elenchi, incrociando le singole voci registrate nelle liste con gli strumenti di informazione bibliografica sulla produzione editoriale dei secoli XV e XVI, oggi ampiamente accessibili anche in rete, oppure disponibili su CD-ROM. Infine, si procederà all’inserimento dei dati (elenchi di libri ed edizioni individuate) nella banca dati della RICI, disponibile in rete e condiviso da tutte le unità di ricerca, che ne consentirà il collegamento con il patrimonio degli altri ordini regolari interessati dall’inchiesta della Congregazione dell’Indice dei libri proibiti. L’accessibilità in tempo reale al catalogo in linea da parte di tutte le unità di ricerca consentirà di implementare l'archivio comune e di ottimizzare il lavoro sulla base della condivisione dei dati evitandone la duplicazione. In the first stage of the research they will provide for the transcription of the singular lists of books, based on well aknowledged criteria proper to RICI environnements, in due time jontly established during the research, with a particular view to the diplomatic-interpretative and strongly conservative character. In a second stage or phase they will undertake the identification of the printed editions corresponding to the titles inserted in the lists, by means of cross-reference of any singular entry with the instruments of bibliographical information concerning the publishing or printing production during the XV and XVI centuries, which today can be easily available in the WWW or on CD-ROM. As a last work they will insert the data (namely lists of books and identified editions) in the RICI database, available on line and shared by all the units of research, which will permit to link with the patrimony of other religious Orders interested in the Inquiry of the Congregation of Index of the books “prohibiti”. The accessibility of the catalogue on line to all the research units will improve the work, on the basis of mutual participation of the data; in the same time it will avoid the duplication of informations.
